We are saddened to learn that many people have lost their lives and numerous miners are trapped underground or injured as a result of a mine accident occurred yesterday (3 May) in Golestan province of north-eastern Iran.
We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in the mine accident, convey our condolences to Iranian people, particularly to the relatives of those who lost their lives, as well as the Government of Iran. We hope swift rescue for our brothers trapped in mine, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.
Sharing the grief of friendly and neighbourly people of Iran, Turkey is ready to help with every possible means if need be.
