Ambassador Yakup Caymazoğlu assumed his duties as Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the State of Qatar on 15 September 2026.

Prior to his appointment to Qatar, he served as theAmbassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the HashemiteKingdom of Jordan from February 2025 to September 2026.

Born in Diyarbakır on 30 March 1976, AmbassadorCaymazoğlu completed his primary and secondary education in Kocaeli.

In 1994, he moved to Tunisia, where he obtainedhis bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Arabic and IslamicCivilisation.

Ambassador Caymazoğlu began his professional career in 2003 as an official translator at the Embassy of Tunisia in Ankara. He entered public service in 2011 as Adviser for Pressand Public Relations at the Prime Ministry.

He wassubsequently appointed Adviser at the Prime Ministry in 2012, Adviser to the President in 2015, and Chief Adviser to thePresident in 2023.

Since 2011, he has taken part in President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s engagements with the Arab world, both during his tenure as Prime Minister and as President.

Ambassador Caymazoğlu is fluent in Arabic and English. He is married and has three children.
