H.E. Ahmed Demirok, Turkey's ambassador to Qatar, confirms that Turkey and Qatar are doing all their effort to support Gaza since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip; they are also considered as the main supporter of the Palestinian people and the Palestinians have confidence in them in transferring their just demands to the international community. He told Al Raya that he feels pride for participating in this solidarity festival with Gaza people... adding that this festival is a clear demonstration of solidarity with our brothers in Palestine as I did not expect such a large number of attendees. I am very proud of these crowds that came to reflect its solidarity with Gaza people.

The Turkish Ambassador stressed that the Islamic states need today to have solidarity with each other. He said: Unfortunately, there was a silence from some of the brothers towards Gaza tragedy, while Qatar and Turkey showed their real solidarity with Gaza people since the beginning. Accordingly the leaderships of the two countries were being praised in this solidarity festival for their big support to the Palestinian people, who knows very well who stands beside them since the beginning.

He praised the Qatari position saying that Qatar was and still a key supporter for Gaza people since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip. It provided a lot of support either on the human or material level as it has already sent $ 25 million to Gaza before the intensification of this aggression. He continued: Qatar is always sincere in its support for Gaza people and some must learn lessons from these positions. Some Islamic countries should not be silenced or make wrong judgments about what is happening in Gaza, because by that they are punishing Gaza people and rewarding the Israeli occupation who commits massacres against humanity and kills civilians, including children and women.

He stressed that the Qatari and Turkish positions were two of the most prominent positions supporting Gaza people, as the communication between the leaders of the two countries did not cut off since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza Strip. He said: the confidence of the Palestinian side in the leadership of the two countries was demonstrated in Mr. Khaled Meshaal speech, head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, who confirmed that they trust in Qatar and Turkey to transport the demands of the Palestinian people. Turkey is ready to cooperate with Qatar in order to reach a permanent ceasefire and to achieve peace in Gaza; stressing that we are not alone and we want to cooperate with all regional and international partners to reach this goal.

The Turkish Ambassador commended on the communication and coordination between the leaderships of the two countries as well as mutual visits between the two countries at the highest level since the beginning of the crisis, to discuss the best ways to end the aggression on Gaza Strip, as well as shuttling of Foreign Ministers of the two countries for supporting our people in Gaza. He continued: The international community must put an end to the Israeli violations and the excessive use of force against the Palestinians. We hope to reach a permanent cease-fire and to achieve peace in the Middle East, which is currently going through a difficult period.

The Turkish ambassador praised the establishment of such festival, thanking the Cultural Village Foundation "Katara" and all the institutions that organized it; pointing to the success in organizing the festival in a very short time and collect large donations for our brothers in Gaza.

The ambassador Demirok expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs in Gaza, wishing to end the aggression and the cease-fire soon as a prelude to the establishment of peace in the sector. He pointed out that there are a lot of Turkish organizations that raise funds to support our people in Gaza.
